MARKETING GRAPHICS
I have an ongoing freelancing (part-time) contract with Maker and Moxie (formally Black and White Studios) to create marketing graphics – for an already established brand – to help promote their various digital products and educate their audience about branding and brand strategy. From YouTube videos, to podcast episodes, to blog posts, to online courses and downloadable resources – I take these products and extract information out that is valuable and digestible in small social media posts to then create the graphics. These graphics are mainly posted on the Instagram and Pinterest channels.
Maker and Moxie is a branding coach for creatives, helping creators amp up their branding to bring in more clients themselves and be more recognisable on social media.
Instagram graphics are the most popular graphics created, as the Maker and Moxie audience is mainly based on Instagram. Standout quotes, and highly visual pieces are successful as they’re easily sharable with the viewer’s own audience.
Some of the graphics created are summaries or previews of blog posts or podcast episodes. This means carousels are created, encouraging the viewer to flick through all the images to get a full picture of what is being discussed or explained.
Pinterest is quite a successful platform for Maker and Moxie. It is a heavily visual platform with posts being successful when they link to further resources. Like those made for Instagram, these graphics are informative and entice the viewer to click for further information - either taking the viewer to the latest episode of the Brand Your Passion podcast or to purchase one of the branding or strategy exercise packs.
